Set within a beautifully converted 18th-century stone barn, Foxglove Cottage is the perfect retreat for smaller families or groups, comfortably sleeping four guests across two bedrooms. While the exterior retains its authentic 1700s charm, the interior is tastefully decorated and equipped with all the modern amenities needed for a relaxing self-catering holiday.

The inviting living/dining room is bright and airy during the day, thanks to windows overlooking the courtyard and provides a tranquil space for unwinding in the evenings. With a TV, Freesat, and a DVD player, it’s ideal for curling up and escaping into your favourite movies. The adjoining kitchen is fully equipped with all the utensils, crockery and cookware needed to prepare anything from simple snacks to elaborate meals. The dining table, seating six, offers ample space for shared meals, games, or socialising. On the lower level, you’ll also find a spotless family bathroom featuring a shower over the bath and all essential facilities for your stay.

Upstairs, the two well-appointed bedrooms combine comfort and character. The master bedroom features a double bed, ample storage and exposed wooden beams that add a touch of rustic charm, reflecting the heritage of the barn. The spacious twin room includes two single beds and plenty of storage, making it perfect for both adults and children. Velux windows in both bedrooms allow for stargazing at night.

You are welcome to wander around and relax in the gardens of Chideock Grange, including the small River Winniford on the edge of the estate. A recreation and information room is provided with pool, table tennis and other family table games, DVDs and books.

We are in an ideal location for exploring the area. Only 2 miles away is the nearest beach, part of the iconic Jurassic coast. Right on our doorstep is a scenic walk across the fields to Seatown, via Chideock. The area also has an abundance of walks to discover, plus lots of coastal routes.

We are also within reach of lots of towns/villages, including Dorchester, Weymouth and Portland Bill. Visit Bovington with its famous Tank Museum, the Swannery and gardens at Abbotsbury, children's entertainment at Crealy and Monkey World, plus majestic houses and beautiful gardens. Attractions to visit include:
