Big Fernyford Farm offers wonderful self catering accommodation near Buxton. Nestled on our upland stock farm in Derbyshire, we are the perfect place to escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life.
Accommodation
Our old cart shed has been beautifully converted to offer modern accommodation. We are ideal for couples or small families. Features include a downstairs stone floor, solid oak flooring on the first floor and exposed oak and stone lintels.There is an open plan dining and lounge area which offers views of the farmyard. Facilities include underfloor heating, a fireplace with a cast iron electric stove, comfy leather furniture, a DVD player and CD player, a Freesat TV and a traditional farmhouse dining table.
The well-equipped kitchen includes a Belfast sink, granite worktop, induction hob, electric oven, fridge with freezer box, microwave, coffee maker and dishwasher.
On the first floor there are 2 bedrooms. The main bedroom has a king bed and an armchair that converts into a single. A second bedroom comes with two single beds. The bedrooms share a bathroom with a double shower. An infant bathtub is available on request.
Outside we have an enclosed patio and garden with a BBQ, perfect for al fresco dining over a glass or two. There is also a treehouse, slide, swings and a trampoline.

Whilst staying with us you can discover all that the local area has to offer. You can visit the nearby town of Buxton, home to restaurants, cafes, pubs and historic attractions. Visit the Buxton Opera House or enjoy one of the countryside walks in the area. Attractions to visit include:Poole's Cavern.
