Situated in the heart of the National Forest the Sealwood Estate & Vineyard Cottage offers an idyllic escape from the hustle and bustle of the modern world. Your own private cottage awaits with serene views of the surrounding countryside and our very own vineyard.
Following an extensive refurbishment in 2024 no expense has been spared in creating a luxurious peaceful retreat that is truely a home from home.
This enchanting annex, part of a Grade II-listed property dating from 1774, was originally built for the Reverend Thomas Gresley as a pastoral escape from the formalities of his main residence at Netherseal Hall. Arrive through the elegant Ogive arch-shaped door, a design style that continues throughout the home, leading into the open-plan lounge. Here, you'll find an inviting space with a coal-effect electric fire, plush sofa bed, and modern conveniences, including a Smart TV and Alexa to play your favourite tunes. Exposed wooden beams add charm, while large windows frame picturesque views of the vineyard. The kitchen, though compact, is thoughtfully equipped with everything you need. Adding to the cottage’s unique character, a steep staircase, true to the home’s historic nature, leads down from the lounge into a charming open wine cellar, perfect for storing and savouring your favourite bottles. After a day of exploring, head upstairs to unwind in the super king-size bed with luxurious bedding, surrounded by superb interior design and the original 1774 pull-out bed hidden in the wall (no longer in use). The bedroom also features a dressing table, ample hanging space, and an elegant en-suite with a bath with shower over, offering the perfect retreat to relax and refresh.
Outside, a seating area with a BBQ provides the perfect setting for al fresco dining, allowing you to soak up the fresh air and beautiful surroundings. For ultimate relaxation, retreat to your private hot tub, nestled among the fields and wildlife, where you can unwind to the soothing sounds of birds chirping, a truly peaceful and rejuvenating escape. The driveway offers two parking spaces, which are shared with the owners, ensuring convenient access to the property.
