Wordsworth Barn is a cosy retreat for 2, located in a beautiful part of Cumbria. We have tastefully decorated and furnished this holiday home ensuring guests have a stylish and comfortable place to stay while exploring the Lake District National Park. We are close to local amenities in Patterdale and just a short drive from Ullswater.

About Wordsworth Barn

Whilst all care and attention has been taken to ensure the barn has all modern amenities, the barn still retains many characterful original features including an extensive exposed oak beams and areas of exposed stone. Guests receive a welcome pack and bottle of Prosecco on arrival.

Ground floor: Double bedroom (super king size or twin beds), with comfortable furnishings and linen bedding. There is a luxury bathroom - with bath and separate shower cubicle with a power shower. The bathroom is half tiled with Kirkstone silver blue slate. Complimentary toiletries are provided for our guests. The bedroom has superb views down the valley through a feature coloured glass window.

First floor: Large, open plan room incorporating a lounge area - with a wood burning stove, 37" HD TV with Blue Ray player and USB port and comfy seating. The modern kitchen has black gloss and brushed stainless steel units, an electric cooker and hob, free-standing stainless steel fridge-freezer and a dining area. Door opening on to high level private patio overlooking the gardens.

There is a choice of 2 outdoor seating areas, on the private veranda at the back of the house or on the patio at the front.

Location

Our holiday home is in a popular location for touring as they are close to many other places including Penrith, Keswick, Windermere and Ambleside. There is great walking right on the doorstep and routes for all abilities. There are many attractions for guests to see such as Dalemain House, Aira Force arboretum and falls, the Kirkstone Pass and Rheged.
