The Byre is a well equipped self catering property that is located on Newby End Farm within the Cumbrian village of Newby. The holiday home is just over a 20-minute drive to Penrith and there are many attractions in the area to keep you occupied. We also offer a range of courses and events in the Eden Valley area.
This self catering property can accommodate 6 people in a twin room and 2 bunk rooms.
There is an open plan living/kitchen area which comes equipped with wood burning stove, microwave, cooker and fridge. This room also has wonderful views across the Eden Valley to Cross Fell.
Attractions for visitors vary from the highest mountain in England to the mighty Hadrian's Wall; and from museums such as the award-winning Tullie House at Carlisle to the unique and mind-boggling Bowes Museum at Barnard Castle, a French Chateau on the grandest scale in the middle of County Durham, filled with the most amazing collection of artefacts.
And then there's the Rheged Visitor Centre at Penrith, a feast of Garden Centres, and a thriving local alpaca industry, not to mention the famous Settle Carlisle railway line running through some of the most glorious scenery in the land.
