About High Swinside Cottage

High Swinside Cottage is one of 3 cottages at High Swinside. The cottage was originally a farm workers cottage and still retains its old oak beams and other original features. The 3 bedroom property can accommodate up to 5 people in one double en suite with shower, one superking (or twin bedded room) and a single room. Each bedroom offers wonderful views whether it be of our tranquil garden, Lorton Valley or towards the Loweswater Fells. The family bathroom has a 2nd shower over the bath.

Downstairs is a comfortable and cosy living room which has a brick fireplace with a log burner, TV, DVD player, and lots of games. The well-equipped family kitchen is bright and airy with a dining area, electric cooker, microwave, slow cooker, fridge, food processor and everything else you could need!

Outside is a shared garden that has picnic tables and benches where guests can sit back and relax. The garden also has an enclosed wooded area where dogs are free to roam safely and there is gated access which opens onto the fells with lots of wonderful walks right on your doorstep.

You can enjoy breathtaking views in our wood-fired hot tub (for an extra charge).
