Porthole Cottage is a lovely detached self catering cottage located just outside of Dunseverick and Bushmills close to the beautiful County Antrim coastline. We are just a short walk from the beach at Whitepark Bay on Northern Ireland’s famous Causeway Coastal Route.
Our detached two bedroom holiday cottages can sleep four people plus a baby. The kitchen is superbly equipped with dining tables and all the modern appliances including electric oven and hob, also Rayburn range which provides the oil fired central heating. We also have a microwave, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and ironing facilities.
The lounge is bright and comfortable and has large windows, there is a wood burning stove, radiator, TV and a selection of board games. We have two bedrooms one of which is a double room and the other is a twin bedroom. We also have a bathroom with a shower and a walk in shower.
Outside there is a spacious private parking and play area with outdoor clothes drying area. A BBQ is available.
Central to all the attractions of the Causeway Coast, Porthole is the ideal base for exploring the North Antrim Coast and Glens of Antrim. The area is ideal for walkers and hikers, or those who just want to relax and recharge their batteries! Ballintoy, Port Braddan, Giant’s Causeway, Portballintrae, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, Dunseverick Harbour, Dunluce Castle, and Bushmills with its famous distillery (guided tours recommended) are all places to visit during your stay at Porthole Cottage. Take a short drive to Ballycastle for a day trip on the ferry to Rathlin Island – see the Puffins, seals and other wildlife! Visit the picturesque Mussenden Temple at Downhill. Greencastle in Donegal is a short drive and ferry crossing from Magilligan. This coast is famous for sea angling and surfing. Take the opportunity to photograph the dark hedges at Stranocum.
