Ghyll Foot offers charming self catering accommodation in the delightful village of Ainstable in the Eden Valley. Our 200-year-old stone-built cottage is around 10 miles from Penrith and Carlisle, making us a great base for exploring Cumbria.

Accommodation

Our beautiful cottage is brimming with character and comes with lots of home comforts to make your stay as relaxing as possible. The property sleeps up to 4 people, ideal for a family or group getaway.

You can unwind in the cosy and spacious sitting room with comes with a toasty wood burner, comfy seating, TV with a DigiBox, DVD player and music system. The fully equipped kitchen is perfect for cooking up some delicious home-cooked food. Appliances include an electric oven, electric hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and fridge-freezer. A dining area is also available.

Two lovely bedrooms are available: a double and a twin. Both rooms share a contemporary bathroom with a shower over the bath. All bedding, duvets and pillows are included.

Outside there is a small enclosed garden with seating. A great spot for enjoying an afternoon coffee whilst the sun is out.

Visiting Ainstable & Exploring Cumbria

While staying with us you can visit the Lake District, the Pennines, the Scottish borders and Hadrian’s Wall. In the village you enjoy can dine at a wonderful restaurant and in Armathwaite there are local shops, pubs and restaurants. Supermarket shopping is available in the larger village of Lazonby. The gorgeous River Eden is a great place for angling and canoeing and keen walkers can enjoy the scenic walks of The Eden Valley. Further attractions to visit include:
