Rhydd Barn offers attractive self catering accommodation in just 3 miles from Malvern. Our stone barn offers wonderful views of the Malvern Hills and is in a great position for exploring Worcestershire.
My barn was originally built in 1850 and has been beautifully restored to offer high-quality accommodation. Lovely features include wooden floors, pine beams and black ironwork.
On the ground floor is a relaxing open plan room with underfloor heating and a well-equipped kitchen/dining area with a fridge and freezer, gas hob, electric oven, microwave oven and dishwasher. In the converted pig-sty across the patio is a freezer and an extra roomy fridge. A utility room houses the washing machine. The dining and sitting area offers fabulous views of the Malvern Hills. There is a ground floor high-pressure shower with a separate toilet and wash basin.
The first floor has a lovely high-ceiling area with French windows that open onto a small balcony to take advantage of the glorious views. A double bedroom has an en suite main bathroom. Open pine ladder-style steps lead to the galleried second floor. Facilities include a smart TV, DVD player and an old record player/audio cassette/radio mini Hi-Fi unit. On the second floor is a mezzanine floor with a futon sofa bed.
Outside there is a south and west-facing patio and lawn area, with and outdoor table and chairs perfect for al fresco dining whilst enjoying the views.
We are in the perfect location for exploring the area, just a 10-minute drive to Malvern and the Three Counties Showground. You can walk around the attractive Malvern Hills or watch a live production at the Malvern Theatre and films at the cinema. Take a meal beforehand at the restaurant. Take a tour of the Morgan Motor Company.
