Lacock itself is full of history and is perfectly located for exploring Wiltshire, the West Country, the Cotswolds, and the cities of Bristol and Bath. London is less than an hour and a half away by train and being situated near to main transport routes, Lacock makes an attractive stop over on a longer trip, as well as the perfect destination for a relaxing holiday.

Both of the holiday cottages has been sympathetically designed and offers guests characterful accommodation along with modern facilities. Guests benefit from having the amenities you would expect at a newer house as well as being able to enjoy the features of this Grade II listed building.Each of the holiday homes is well equipped and includes:

Lenton Cottage can sleep up to 5 people. There is a double bedroom and a triple bunk room with a double bed and single bed above.
Wheeler Cottage can sleep up to 4 people in a double and a bunk room. For those guests who are looking for a larger property, the cottages can be interlinked.
Local Attractions
The centre of Lacock is just a short stroll away from the Old Rectory and offers some outstanding pubs and restaurants with excellent cuisine. Tearooms, a bakery, jewellery and antique shops, and a beautician all add to the character of the village.Lacock Abbey (a Harry Potter filming location), to the west of the village, was the home of William Fox-Talbot, a pioneer of the photographic negative. The Abbey, now owned by the National Trust, is open to the public and houses a photographic museum.
Bath — a beautiful Georgian city not to be outdone by ancient history — is just thirty minutes away by car. Bath is a World Heritage Site offering numerous museums such as the Jane Austen Museum, No 1 Royal Crescent, the Roman Baths, or the Abbey for starters. Why not sample the new Thermae Bath Spa, with its rooftop pool and treatment centre too?
The vibrant city of Bristol, only forty-five minutes drive away, has recently opened a fabulous new shopping centre at Cabot Circus and boasts the cosmopolitan dock area with @Bristol and Explore; two must-visit destinations for the family.
