Tigh Na Beart is a lovely new modern cottage situated in a rural crofting community on the picturesque west coast of the Isle of Lewis. Situated within a quiet neighborhood where Gaelic is spoken, the village is also home to a Harris Tweed mill. Surrounding the cottage are numerous stunning sandy beaches, with one just a 10 to 15 minute walk away, depending on your pace. Other equally beautiful beaches are conveniently accessible by a short drive from the cottage.

Accommodation

The cottage itself offers a spacious and airy atmosphere with its open plan sitting area, kitchen and a small hall featuring high ceilings. It includes a well-appointed shower room and a bedroom furnished with a comfortable double bed and a fitted mirrored wardrobe.

During their stay, guests will enjoy exclusive access to the entire cottage. Entry is facilitated through a secure key safe, ensuring a hassle-free arrival and departure process. The cottage is designed to be accessible for guests with disabilities or those requiring wheelchair access, and there is ample parking available right outside the cottage.

Visiting Shawbost & Exploring the Western Isles

We are only a short 15 minute walk to a lovely sandy beach or a short drive to Dalbeag or Dalmore Beach. The Norse Mill is a short drive away and lots of glorious coastal walk can be enjoyed locally. Within driving distance are Garenin Black House in Carloway and Doune Broch. Callanish Stones, Whalebone Arch in Bragar and Arnol Black House are all within drive distance as well. Art lovers can visit Oiseval Gallery in Brue and Morven Gallery in Barvas and a 25 minute drive takes you to the Butt of Lewis lighthouse at Port of Ness.
