Originally built as a small thatched cottage and now totally renovated, inside and out, Heisgeir View is a cosy, welcoming self-catering cottage, ideal for relaxed getaways in North Uist, Outer Hebrides. Located close to glorious beaches and RSPB Balranald Nature Reserve with great bird-watching, even from the garden. Dog-friendly, too!
Heisgeir View can accommodate four people comfortably in a double room with en-suite bathroom and a twin room. Each bedroom has a TV and all bedding and towels are provided. The bathroom and en-suite bathroom are both newly refitted and have heated towel rails. There is a bath in the bathroom and a shower in the en-suite.
The kitchen is fully equipped with oven and hob, fridge-freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washer-dryer. Additional small electrical appliances include a kettle, toaster, Nespresso Essence mini coffee maker, slow cooker and a George Foreman grill and toastie maker.
The living room has a feature window, which looks out over the island towards The Monach Isles and the Atlantic Ocean. There is also a TV fitted with Sky Q and visitors can access their own Netflix, Amazon Prime and other accounts.
Throughout the cottage there is superfast fibre broadband, suitable for everything from posting on social media to running a Zoom meeting. There is good 4G coverage for mobiles and several USB sockets for charging devices.
Outside there is a large, fully fenced garden with stunning views from its elevated position in every direction and private parking right at the door.
North Uist is a beautiful mix of white sandy beaches and machair land and freshwater lochs and moorland hills. Running 13 miles North to South it takes roughly 45 miles to travel around the whole island. The west coast looks out to the Monach Islands and magnificent St Kilda. The island is the perfect location for wildlife enthusiasts and those who enjoy walking, cycling and kayaking.
The cottage is about ten minutes’ drive from the RSPB nature reserve and stunning beaches.
