Nora Batty's Cottage offers charming self catering accommodation in Holmfirth. We offer a memorable stay in one of the most renowned homes in TV comedy. Our property in West Yorkshire is the home of TV comedy icon Nora Batty and offers a home-from-home feel.
Our property offers a retro feel combined with lots of mod-cons for a relaxing stay. The two-storey cottage dates from the 18th Century and enjoys a riverside setting. You will also find lots of pictures on the wall from the Last of the Summer Wine.
Inside the cottage, we have a flag-floored dining kitchen and a large lounge to relax in. There are two bedrooms: 1 spacious double and 1 spacious twin. Both rooms share a bathroom.
Facilities include FreeSat satellite TV, Wi-Fi, fresh linen and towels and a cot and high chair.
Outside we have a private outdoor sitting area for al fresco dining.
We are in a great spot for exploring the area. Next door there is the Summer Wine Exhibition, housed under the Wrinkled Stocking tea rooms. Visit Sid’s Cafe or enjoy the glorious scenery around the Holme Valley. Only a few miles south is the Derbyshire Peak District. Attractions to visit include:
