Cathair Dhubh Estate provides unique self catering accommodation just outside the fishing village of Lochinver. The accommodation is nestled beneath the imposing "Black Chair" rock face after which the Estate is named. This is a stunning setting ideal for a tranquil holiday with panoramic coastal views.
There are 5 cottages in total, 4 sleeping 4 and the other sleeping 6. The two bedroom cottages are perfect for couples or families as there are double and twin bedrooms. They have open living space which comes equipped with satellite TV, Wi-Fi, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer etc. Patio doors lead to an outside area with seating.
The largest cottage has 2 twin en suites and a ground floor double en suite. The open plan set up and facilities are the same as the other properties.
Lochinver has a great range of amenities including shops, petrol station, galleries, leisure centre and more. For a wider range of amenities, including a Tesco’s supermarket, it is worth visiting the beautiful village of Ullapool, nestling on the shores of Loch Broom.
This area is very popular for a range of activities including:
Walking - The beautiful Assynt Mountains are perfect for this.
Cycling - There are plenty of remote mountain trails and the NC500.
Fishing - Assynt has a great place for fishing.
Wildlife watching - Assynt has had 215 species of bird recorded over the past few decades.
