Accommodation
Glendarroch House, a traditional Highland dwelling constructed 170 years ago and steadfastly owned by the same family ever since, has undergone complete modernisation to meet high standards.Accommodating up to 6 people, Glendarroch comprises two king-size double bedrooms, one twin room, and a charming child's bedroom. If needed, a cot and high chair are also provided. Each bedroom offers ample storage and uninterrupted views of the mountains—a delightful sight to wake up to!
The well-sized, fully fitted kitchen in Glendarroch features modern conveniences such as a Neff hob and fan oven, Bosch dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, refrigerator and upright freezer. The adjoining open-plan dining room offers a splendid view of the waterfall just outside the house.
The comfortable living room boasts a leather reclining suite, equipped with satellite television, DVD player, CD and tape player and radio. For entertainment, a selection of board games and jigsaws complements a well-stocked library of 550 books covering various interests and 80 DVDs featuring popular films and TV series.
Glendarroch includes a downstairs bathroom with a corner bath with shower and toilet, as well as an upstairs shower room and toilet. The house is centrally heated with an excellent high-pressure hot water supply. Electricity, heating, and bed linen are all inclusive, and the duvets are 13.5 tog all season for ultimate comfort. Towels can be provided upon request.
The house features a garden to the front and sides, adorned with lawns and mature plum, cherry, and pear trees. A personal burn with a waterfall runs just outside the house, creating a spectacular sight, especially after rainy days. The 15-acre grounds also encompass mature oak, birch, and hazel woodland.

Glendarroch House nestles in a secluded glen close to the popular village of Lochinver and faces a truly outstanding panorama of the mountains of Assynt and Wester Ross. You can enjoy remarkable peace, silence and privacy yet be only a few minutes from the interests of the village shops and harbour. As one visitor put it “It feels remote, but is so convenient”!For the adventurous, the views of Suilven, Cul Mor, Cul Beag, and Stac Pollaidh from the house should whet the appetite. Closer to home there are fine walks in any direction from the house.
