Larks Rise has been converted from a farm building into living accommodation blending modern and traditional. Set on the edge of the Peak District and the Staffordshire Moorlands over looking picturesque countryside, an ideal base to explore the unspoilt area.
Larks Rise offers good accommodation to a high standard. A double bedroom with wardrobe and dressing table, and room for a cot if required, it has two windows that look out over green fields where cattle and sheep graze. The twin bedroom has french windows, and room for a folding bed. The shower room has a flat floor shower, toilet, and wash basin, and mirror with shaver point. A very well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, cooker, washing machine, fridge and microwave, quality cookware, crockery and utensils, has an adjoining dining area. The lounge has a beamed ceiling, oak corner unit that houses a ctv, video and coal effect fire.
Bedding and towels are provided, but we do ask you to provide your own bedding for the cot; we also have a high chair and baby bath. All rooms are at ground floor level and there are no steps; the doors are all wide enough to take wheel chairs. There is a lawn in front of the property and children can play safely, we have a large car parking area at the end of the cottage.
All accommodation is on ground floor level, with easy access for visitors in wheelchairs.
We also offer B & B accommodation.
We are a small working farm that breed pedigree Texel sheep, Belted Galloway Cattle now classed as a minority breed and rare breeds of poultry.
We are ideally situated for visiting The Peak District, Manifold Valley, Dovedale, Hartington, Leek, Ashbourne, Bakewell, Chatsworth, Buxton, Blackbrook Zoological Park, Alton Towers and the Potteries.
Rates : From £175 to £375 per week depending on season.
Maximum of 5 people.
No smoking is permitted. Sorry, no pets allowed.
