About Spindle Cottage
Step inside the cottage and you find a world of make believe with carvings of mushrooms, spiders web, birds and mice in oak beams and stone work. A place of charm and delight, a place dreams are made of. Guests may enjoy seeking for the many carvings throughout the house, set out in the Spindle Cottage quiz, great fun for the children and the not so young. The entrance hall is large and can be used as a playroom. There is a downstairs WC. The sitting room has a low ceiling and oak beams. A wood burning stove and central heating make this a comfortable place to come home to. It is open to the dining room with pitch pine table, pews and a dresser. A French door from here into the new kitchen, which is light and airy with a four ring electric cooker, microwave, fridge, dishwasher. Well supplied with china, cutlery and all cooking utensils, door into a new conservatory with double doors out into the garden. The utility room has a washing machine, tumble dryer, freezer and sink unit. From the hall the half spiral oak stairs with handrails on both sides lead to the three bedrooms and the bathroom.
Bedroom one with a double brass bed, en suite with shower, loo and wash basin. So pretty and peaceful. Bedroom two has twin beds with handmade oak headboards and a unique ceramic blue wash basin. A charming little balcony in this room gives a wonderful view of the garden. Bedroom three is the small bedroom a room loved by children, it has a narrow oak door and an unusual wide single bed set into an alcove, it's very cosy. The family bathroom has a bath, separate shower cubicle, loo and wash basin.
The pretty garden is shared with the owners. Feel free to use it and relax in. A wonderful covered barbecue/fireplace and before it a 12ft garden table and benches just waiting for that warm summer evening or lazy afternoon.
