Gorge View Cottage offers superb self catering accommodation in Cheddar, set at the foothills of the Mendip Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Our award-winning property in Somerset is the perfect place to escape from the pressures of modern life.

Accommodation

Our charming cottage is tucked away down a small lane and boasts amazing views of the nearby gorge. Originally the property was an old gardeners cottage but has now been renovated to offer fantastic accommodation.

The cottage sleeps up to 2 people, making it great for a romantic getaway. Inside this beautifully furnished house is a cosy lounge with comfortable seating, a toasty wood burner, exposed stone walls and Smart TV with various on-demand services. This triple-aspect space enjoys wonderful views over the gorge and organic garden.

Cook up a storm in the well-equipped kitchenette which has granite worktops and bespoke reclaimed pine units, a gas hob, fan oven and grill, refrigerator with freezing compartment and a range of appliances.

Upstairs there is a lovely bedroom with a king-size bed that has a memory foam mattress and organic cotton bed linen. An attractive shower room is neatly tiled and includes LED lighting.

Outside there is a delightful west-facing patio with a table and chairs for al fresco dining whilst savouring your surroundings. You are welcome to stroll around the large garden which is part of the main house.

Visiting Cheddar and & Exploring Somerset

This part of the country is a paradise for walkers, with gorgeous routes dotted around the Mendips and gorge. Only a short stroll away is the caves, shops, pubs and restaurants. Further afield you can visit the cathedral city of Wells or the famous Wookey Hole Caves. The quirky market town of Glastonbury is home to interesting shops, the Tor and Glastonbury Abbey. Excellent attractions to visit include:
