Woodlands is set just a 5 minute walk from the centre of Porlock Weir in Somerset, which is a small picturesque harbour in Exmoor. Perfect for all group sizes from 2 to 10, this well appointed holiday home has the most incredible open views of the sea from virtually all of the rooms, and from the large private terrace where you can dine in peace and enjoy the fresh air.

The holiday cottages is set in a large private garden with mature camellias, rhododendrons and three small lawns, this is a perfect place to relax and unwind by the sea. Ideal for family get togethers, but also popular with walkers, the house is traditional in style and homely with no minimalism. At our holiday home you will find:

Sitting room with cosy log fire and television; CD/DVD player and iPod docking with DAB radio. Two three seater sofas and other comfy chairs are provided for guest's relaxation.
Additional sitting room with super sprung mattress double sofa bed, more comfy chairs, table and second television.
Kitchen with a lovely farmhouse feel enhanced by a wood burning stove and dresser, large table that can seat ten guests, dishwasher, cooker, microwave and fridge.
Conservatory with comfy seating.
Utility with second fridge, washing machine, tumble dryer, drying racks, ironing board, iron and deep freeze.
Downstairs shower room with power shower, WC and basin.
Four bedrooms, two with king size double beds (one has en-suite shower room with power shower, WC and basin), and one twin bed room with wash basin and one family bedroom with king size double and up to two full size single beds.

There is a BBQ, garden seat, chairs and tables. Parking for four to five cars, including two lockable garages. The large garden has three small lawns and many paths running through areas of mature shrubs and is only suitable for toddlers if closely supervised due to its terraced nature; however it is great for hide and seek for older ones!

Local Area

Woodlands really is in the best location for enjoying the many delights that this part of the West Country have to offer. You can easily access every part of the Exmoor National Park, Porlock Ridge which is a sight of Special Scientific Interest as well as many other places such as National Trust house and gardens, tea rooms for a cream tea, villages, beaches, the West Somerset Railway, Lynmouth, Woolacombe and the RHS Rosemoor. The area offers something for everyone and all of it is within easy reach.
