Lower Hill Farm is situated in 230 acres of countryside near Shrewsbury in Shropshire, it is the perfect place to escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life.

Accommodation

We are a haven for outdoor lovers looking for somewhere special to stay, surrounded by scenic countryside in all directions. You can choose from a Roundhouses, kestrel safari tent, Wrekin, lodge, Shacks, a Shepherd’s hut, Buzzard pods and the "Bullrush", an off grid, poolside accommodation. Our huts are great for a romantic break in the country. Inside there is a double bed and single bed settee, electric heating, lighting, socket and a kettle. Outside there is a picnic table, fire pit with a cooking griddle, plus a table and chairs for al fresco dining.

Kestrel Safari Tent with wood-fired hot tub:

Our Safari tent is great for a family holiday and sleeps 7 people. Bedrooms consist of 1 double bed, 1 triple sleeper and 2 single mattresses. There is also a flushing toilet and hot running water, cooking equipment, a fridge, TV, electric heater in the bedrooms and a toasty log burner. Relax with a glass of bubbly in the luxurious hot tub.

The Roundhouse:

These quirky wood-clad roundhouses offer a truly cosy, romantic accommodation for 2, but equally they are suitable for a family. In total, they sleep 4 people each and boast a separate kitchen and cloakroom facilities. Inside there is a double bed, electric lighting, sockets and a real log burner. Outside there is a picnic table and a fire pit with a cooking griddle for al fresco dining

Wrekin Lodge with wood-fired hot tub:

Our lodge offers the ultimate country retreat and includes a fridge, TV, cooking equipment, flush toilet, hot running water, a real log burner and fire pit.

Buzzard Pod (with optional wood-fired hot tub):

This pod offers the perfect alternative to camping. Inside there is electric heating and lighting, a double bed, kitchen area and a water container with a cool box and ice blocks. A gas BBQ, table and chairs and a fire pit with a griddle are provided for al fresco dining. You can hire a lavish hot tub for an additional price.

Moonshine, Stargazer and Sundown Shacks (with optional wood-fired hot tub):

Our shacks add to our array of accommodation. They come with a double and bunk bed, plus electric heating, lighting and sockets and an electric kettle. Outside there is a fire pit with a cooking griddle, picnic table, table & chairs. A woof-fired hot tub can also be hired.

The Bullrush with wood-fired hot tub

"The Bullrush" is a situated a third of a mile away from the main camping and glamping site (accessible by car). There are field gates to open and shut. "The Bullrush" has a wood fired hot tub and a poolside breakfast bar, with rustic stools, so you can enjoy the early morning sunrise and evening sunsets, in your own secluded, peace and quiet. The essence of "The Bullrush" is an 'off grid' experience, having solar lighting and power, including USB point. The hot running water, for the kitchen unit and the bathroom, is heated by gas. A gas hob and solar powered fridge means catering is as easy as 'home from home'. There is a double bed, comfy chair and a real log burner to relax by.

On the main site, a woodfired pizza oven is set in its own hut, with pizzas available to purchase. The Honesty shop is well stocked with breakfast and BBQ items, free range eggs and a variety of other essentials. There are also free showers and a hot water washing-up area.

Visiting Hughley & Exploring Shropshire

Our farm is in an ideal area for enjoying the surrounding area. Lots of cycle and walking routes are in the area, from leisurely to more strenuous ones. The famous shopping centre at Telford is nearby and Ironbridge Gorge is a 10-minute drive away. You can visit Attingham Park and Dudmaston Hall or take a scenic trip on the Severn Valley Railway. Attractions to visit include:

Shrewsbury Prison.
Shrewsbury Abbey.
Mousefield Nature Reserve.
Shrewsbury Castle.
