Alice's and Nelly's Cottages are situated in the beautiful Weardale valley in Durham, offering spectacular views across the High Pennines. Set on a working sheep farm, the cottages provide an authentic rural experience, with fleece and meat available for purchase. The farm is home to Icelandic and Shetland sheep, adding to the charm and character of this peaceful countryside retreat.

Nelly’s Cottage offers spacious accommodation for up to six guests, featuring three comfortable bedrooms. The first is a twin room with a Jack and Jill accessible en-suite shower room and WC with dual wash basins, overlooking the peaceful rear garden. The second is a double bedroom with a king-size bed and en-suite bathroom including an electric shower over the bath, while the third is a twin room with bedside tables, lamps, a chest of drawers and a wardrobe, overlooking the side terrace and with access to the double room’s en-suite via the corridor. The open-plan lounge provides a welcoming space to relax, complete with an electric fire, two leather sofas, two armchairs, Smart TV, radio, coffee table and lamps. The large dining kitchen is well equipped with an electric cooker and grill, halogen hob, microwave, airfryer, slow cooker, four-slice toaster, large fridge-freezer, double sinks, dishwasher, washing machine and a full range of cutlery and crockery, with a dining table seating up to six people.
