Pitmeadow Farm is a small, family-run working farm set in the peaceful countryside just outside the conservation village of Dunning. Full of character, the farm enjoys a quiet, elevated position on the southern side of Strathearn, offering lovely rural views and a relaxing setting. There are two self-catering properties available on the farm, The Steading, which comfortably sleeps six guests and The Studio, which accommodates up to four, making them ideal for families, couples, or small groups looking to enjoy a countryside escape.

The Steading offers spacious and comfortable accommodation, featuring a large open-plan kitchen with a dining table and seating area. There is also a separate, generously sized living room with three sofas, a TV and an open fire, creating a cosy space to relax. Upstairs, there are three large double bedrooms, each with its own ensuite shower and toilet, providing privacy and convenience for guests. Two of the bedrooms can be arranged as either twin or double beds to suit different group needs and one room also includes a pull-out single bed if additional sleeping space is required. The Studio has been recently renovated to create a comfortable and welcoming self-catering space, featuring a spacious and attractive kitchen and dining area. The layout is thoughtfully arranged with the bedrooms located on the ground floor and the living room and kitchen upstairs, making the most of the space and light. The accommodation includes two double bedrooms, both with ensuite facilities, and one can be arranged as twin beds if preferred. Fully equipped for a relaxing stay, the property also provides games, books and DVDs for guests to enjoy, along with the option of a travel cot available on request.

Guests can enjoy a shared games room located in the courtyard, equipped with a table tennis table, table football and a selection of other games for all ages. The games room also offers a range of homemade jams, chutneys and Pitmeadow meat available to purchase. There is ample parking on site, along with access to a spacious garden where guests can relax or enjoy outdoor activities, including a trampoline and football goals. The grounds also feature a large, deep pond, creating a peaceful setting for watching wildlife or taking a leisurely walk around the area. For safety, children should be supervised at all times while in the garden.

Dunning is a charming village set in the heart of rural Perthshire and makes an excellent base for exploring the surrounding area. The village itself is home to St Serf’s Church, a historic site known for its ancient carved stone, while nearby Auchterarder offers shops, cafés and the famous Gleneagles Hotel with its golf courses and leisure facilities. A short drive brings you to Perth, where you can explore cultural attractions such as museums, galleries and riverside walks. For nature lovers, the scenic beauty of Ochil Hills provides excellent opportunities for walking, hiking and enjoying panoramic views, while historic landmarks like Scone Palace offer a glimpse into Scotland’s rich past.
