Located in the picturesque village of Rowen near Conwy, North Wales, Y Gorlan is a magnificent five-bedroom detached house set within a peaceful and scenic setting. Once serving as the village’s 19th-century vicarage, the property has been thoughtfully renovated to combine modern comfort with its original character and charm. Its location within Snowdonia National Park places it close to the UNESCO World Heritage town of Conwy, making it an excellent retreat for families or groups of up to ten guests.

Inside, guests are welcomed into a tastefully decorated front sitting room where reclining sofas invite you to relax in front of a Sky TV offering movies, box sets and sports channels. During the colder months, a woodburning stove adds warmth and atmosphere. There is also a newly added garden sitting room with plush seating, offering stunning views of the Carneddau mountain range behind the village of Rowen.

The kitchen is a standout feature of the house, designed by French brand Mobalpa. It is fully equipped for preparing meals, with everything needed to create and serve dishes at the large solid oak dining table, which comfortably seats ten. Appliances include a range cooker with a double oven, separate grill and five-burner gas hob with a wok burner, as well as a dishwasher, fridge-freezer, washer-dryer, microwave, slow cooker and Nespresso pod coffee machine. To help guests settle in, a welcome pack with drinks and locally produced snacks is also provided.

The ground floor includes a bedroom with a queen-size bed and an ensuite bathroom featuring a walk-in shower, making it particularly suitable for guests with accessibility needs. A separate cloakroom is also available on this level.

Upstairs, the master bedroom features a king-size four-poster bed, a feature fireplace and an ensuite with a rainfall power shower. Another king-size bedroom also includes a feature fireplace and its own ensuite with a rainfall shower. At the rear of the house are two additional double rooms, each with ensuite bathrooms fitted with electric showers.

Outside, the enclosed gardens provide a perfect space to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Guests can make use of the barbecue for alfresco dining and spend time playing lawn games, making it an enjoyable space for both adults and children alike.

Rowen is perfectly placed for exploring some of the most scenic and historic spots in North Wales. Just a short drive away, the walled town of Conwy offers a rich mix of attractions, including the impressive Conwy Castle and the picturesque harbour. Nature lovers can head straight into Snowdonia National Park, where countless walking and hiking routes showcase dramatic mountains, lakes, and forests, including the nearby Carneddau range. For a traditional seaside day out, Llandudno is within easy reach, known for its Victorian pier and sweeping promenade. Meanwhile, the Bodnant Garden provides a more relaxed experience, with beautifully landscaped grounds and seasonal colour, making it a favourite for visitors throughout the year.
