Bright, spacious and attractively presented, this three-bedroom cottage has been furnished to a high standard with holiday guests in mind and includes private parking for two cars. The main living areas are designed to make the most of the views, giving the property a light and welcoming feel throughout.
On the ground floor, there is a comfortable double bedroom with a large built-in wardrobe and bedside cabinets. The generous L-shaped lounge and dining space includes two and three seater sofas, an armchair, a fireplace with a stove-style electric fire, a dining table with seating for six, and a Freeview television, making it a perfect place to relax together. A large downstairs shower room provides a WC, sink with cabinet, a spacious walk-in power shower and a heated towel rail. The entrance hallway also features a useful storage cupboard.
The spacious kitchen is well equipped for family meals and longer stays, with a double fan oven and grill, electric ceramic hob with extractor, microwave, large American-style fridge freezer, second integrated fridge, wine cooler, washing machine, dishwasher and tumble dryer. A full range of cookware, dinnerware, cutlery, serving dishes, picnic plates and a large flask are supplied, ensuring everything needed for self-catering is on hand.
Upstairs, the master bedroom offers a king-size bed along with wardrobe space and storage, while the twin room has two full-size single beds and additional storage. The family bathroom includes a WC, sink and a full-size P-shaped bath with a shower screen and power shower, as well as a large heated towel rail.
Additional comforts include double glazing, an external oil-fired boiler providing efficient central heating and instant hot water and free Wi-Fi with a good signal both inside and outside the property.
Outside, a large front patio with a wooden table, bench and carver chairs is ideal for sitting out and taking in the views, while the rear garden has mature shrubs, further seating, an outdoor tap and hose and a rotary clothes line.
Drift Cottage is just a short stroll from the centre of Lamlash, where you’ll find excellent local amenities and a range of places to eat, all within easy walking distance. Lamlash is a great base for exploring the Isle of Arran, with plenty to see close by. You can take a boat trip across to Holy Isle for peaceful walks and wildlife spotting, or head north to Brodick to visit Brodick Castle and its gardens. Outdoor lovers can tackle Goat Fell for panoramic island views or enjoy gentler stretches of the Arran Coastal Way. A little further afield, the ancient stone circles at Machrie Moor Standing Stones and the ruins of Lochranza Castle offer a glimpse into Arran’s rich history, all within easy reach for a day out.
