Accommodation

Our Victorian gardener’s cottage was built in the former kitchen garden of Elizabethan Yorke House and now offers modern accommodation to suit all your needs.

This tastefully renovated cottage comes with a well-equipped kitchen with a range of appliances. There is a lovely lounge/dining room to relax in after a day sightseeing. Facilities include a piano (regularly tuned) Wi-fi, TV/DVD, Radio/CD and iPod Dock. Downstairs there is also a loo.

Upstairs there is an en suite master bedroom, a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a family bathroom with a bath and separate shower.

Outside we have an enclosed, south-facing garden with a patio table and chairs for al fresco dining over a glass or two. There is a lawn with a monkey puzzle tree, roses, apple trees and flowery borders.

Visting Richmond & Exploring North Yorkshire

Our cottage is near the River Swale and woods which offers lots of beautiful walks. You can visit the oldest working theatre in England, The Georgian Theatre Royal. Visit Green Howards Regimental Museum or visit Richmond Station, a Victorian former railway station which is home to artisan shops, 3 cinemas and a cafe. Attractions to visit include:

Richmond Castle.
Richmondshire Museum.
Easby Abbey.
Swaledale Museum.
Castle Bolton.
