Skipwith Station Holidays offers self catering holiday accommodation that is ideal for couples and families, located at North Duffield in North Yorkshire. Our holiday accommodation consists of three refitted railway carriages and a converted loading bay, all of which are within the grounds of the original station just half an hour’s drive from the city of York.

Accommodation

Our railway carriages can be hired individually or as a collective and are able to sleep up to 16 people when let together. Blackberry Halt also have a hot tub to relax in. All of the holiday homes come with a well-equipped kitchen including an electric oven/hob, microwave, dishwasher & under counter fridge. All bed linen and towels are included and there is a TV and DVD player.

Blackberry Halt – The Former Loading Bay(Sleeps 2):

This holiday home retains all the industrial charm of the original building, blended with contemporary luxury. The main living area is open plan and provides a relaxing environment, there is also underfloor heating. The king bedroom has suite facilities. Outside is a private well stocked garden in the courtyard where you will find an external hot tub; perfect for a warm, relaxing bubble massage perhaps with wine or just watching the stars.

Lady Deramore Carriage (Sleeps 4):

Our beautifully appointed first-class carriage is an ex-Virgin West Coast carriage and sleeps 4 guests in 2 bedrooms, one double & one twin, each with their own bathroom. Views from all rooms are across open countryside. There is a private garden available for barbecues or just relaxing. All living areas are heated and air-conditioned.

Derwent Flyer Carriage & Derwent Mail Carriage (Both sleep 4):

These self catering carriages have a double & a bunk room with a shared shower room. The kitchen, lounge and dining room with TV/DVD and free unlimited Wi-Fi are all separate with views out over open countryside. There is a private platform area available for barbecues or just relaxing. All living areas are heated and air-conditioned and these carriages are pet friendly.

Visiting North Duffield & Exploring North Yorkshire

We are in great spot for exploring the area. The Drovers Arms is a 2-minute drive (or better still) a 20-minute walk through the woods from Skipwith Station. Play a round at the Oaks Golf Club or visit the National Railway Museum. Attractions to visit include:

Jorvik Viking Centre.
The York Dungeon.
York Minster.
Humber Bridge.
Trans Pennine Trail.
