Tykes Cottage is a modern stone built end terrace 2 bedroom cottage in Helmsley and is set in a quiet location in Bondgate whilst being just a 5 minutes stroll from the Market Place with its interesting shops, cafes, pubs and bistros. Tykes Cottage sleeps up to 4 and provides comfort and relaxation whilst being ideally located for exploring many of Yorkshires attractions.
This superbly equipped cottage offers a warm and inviting retreat for guests looking to enjoy a break without sacrificing the comforts and luxuries of home.
The modern, light-filled lounge features matching sofas and is equipped with a TV with Freeview and a mini stereo CD/radio, creating a relaxing space for entertainment and leisure. Just off the lounge, an archway leads to a convenient additional cloakroom toilet.
The fully fitted American-style kitchen is well-equipped with a complete range of crockery and utensils. It includes a dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, washer, iron, and ironing board, ensuring guests have everything needed for a comfortable stay. Outdoor drying facilities are also available.
Sleeping arrangements include a master bedroom with a double bed, a flat screen TV, and a hairdryer. The second bedroom is designed to accommodate two guests in full-sized bunk beds and also features a flat screen TV, making it suitable for children or additional guests.
All linen and towels are provided for convenience. For families travelling with little ones, a travel cot and high chair are available upon request, although cot linen is not supplied. The bathroom features a modern suite and is fitted with an electric shower for added comfort.
York, the capital of Yorkshire with its many attractions including the York Minster, the Jorvic Viking Centre and the new Yorkshire wheel is only half an hour to the south. Discover the wonderful natural beauty of the North York Moors. For those without transport, the regular Moors bus provides an ideal way of accessing the nearby open countryside. Take the sea air at Whitby or recall the bygone age of steam on the North York Moors Railway. Take a ride through the picturesque countryside featured in the TV production ‘Heartbeat’ as the train makes its way between Pickering and Grosmont.
