Drabblegate River Cottage offers self catering accommodation in Aylsham. The cottage in Norwich boasts views over the meadows and the River Bure. Our property is the perfect base for exploring a range of attractions in Norfolk.

Drabblegate River Cottage is a red brick building which has been tastefully renovated whilst retaining its original character.

On the ground floor is a tastefully furnished lounge with two leather sofas, Afghan rug, flat screen Freeview TV and DVD player. You can also keep toasty in front of the 17th Century inglenook fireplace. The is full equipped with an electric oven, electric hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and a breakfast bar with two stools. Cleaning materials and detergents are supplied. You can dine in the dining room. It has a glass table with four comfortable leather chairs.

The ground floor double bedroom comes with en suite facilities. The bathroom has a walk in shower. On the first floor is a king size bedroom which enjoys views across the meadows. The bathroom has a toilet, basin and over bath electric shower.

All bedding is hypoallergenic. Duvets, pure cotton sheets and towels are provided. You will need to bring your own beach towels.

Outside to the rear of the property is a secluded garden with a wooden table, chairs and a BBQ. The front garden has lots of open space and a bench seat.

Aylsham is an old market town only 10 miles from the beach, Norwich and the Norfolk Broads. A range of local amenities are available in the town. Many walk and cycle routes are nearby, such as Marriott’s and Weaver’s Way. You can stop off at a number of pubs and restaurants. Norfolk Wildlife Trust’s Cley marshes are perfect for birdwatchers. A lot of wildlife can be seen on the river. Plenty of outdoor activities can be enjoyed: coastal golf courses, adventure playgrounds, garden and zoos. A number of excellent days out are nearby:
