Summary

Molly’s Den is a cosy hideaway for two people who are looking for an adults-only break at a homely retreat. We are at Roydon, near King’s Lynn, and close to the Queen’s Royal Sandringham Estate in North West Norfolk. Our holiday accommodation adjoins our family home with Norfolk Wildlife Trust’s Roydon Common directly opposite. We are the perfect base for exploring the many delights and places of interest in this lovely corner of England.

About Molly’s Den

On the ground floor of our holiday home is a light and airy open-plan living area that includes a kitchen with electric hob, oven, fridge, microwave and lots of things you might need when you are away from home. Molly’s Den has full central heating, air conditioning for our warm summers and is double glazed. The dining and sitting areas with a solid oak floor are comfortably furnished with sofa, cushions and table to enable you to really chill out. Read a book or watch something on the smart HD TV with freesat. The holiday accommodation is well stocked with books and there’s a guest file with useful information about what to do, where to go, places to eat. There’s also a guest book, where genuine reviews are left for future visitors.

On the first floor of Molly’s Den there is a spacious bedroom with a super king which can be converted into two singles. Two Velux windows and a large feature arch window with bespoke wooden shutters offer great light during the day, but with the benefit of blackout blinds for night time in this quiet rural location. Egyptian cotton linen and bath towels are provided. The shower room is downstairs and boasts a fully tiled Travertine floor.

Outside is a pretty courtyard which has full morning sun. We have easy off-road parking.

Molly’s Den is a self-catering cottage, but, you don’t have to cook! We are in easy reach of more than a dozen wonderful pubs serving excellent food to suit every pocket. A free welcome pack of food essentials is provided.

Visiting Roydon & Exploring Norfolk

If you are looking for wildlife, it’s right here on Roydon common – roe and muntjac deer, foxes, badgers, weasels, barn and tawny owls, nightjars, nightingales, buzzards, marsh harriers. Great for walking, running, photography and much more. Our award-winning local CAMRA pub, The Union Jack, is just 100 metres away and The Three Horseshoes, serving pub food, is a 10-minute walk away. A hundred metres beyond is the Congham Hall Hotel which serves fine food and morning/afternoon teas. Nearby you will find a local butcher’s shop, a grocery store and a doctors’ surgery. Sainsbury and Asda are just a short distance away. If you like beautiful beaches they are less than half an hour away, the Queen’s Sandringham Estate is a 10-minute drive and the stately homes of Houghton Hall and Holkham Hall are only a short distance away.
