Weiroch Lodge in Ballindalloch offers self-catering accommodation, nestled in a stunning countryside setting. Set deep in the heart of Speyside, the area is renowned for rolling, heather-clad hills rising up from the River Spey, offering a true haven for outdoor lovers.
Our lodge offers an idyllic retreat in a secluded location, surrounded by beautiful hills and lush forests. The lodge is equipped with everything you need for a self catering holiday and sleeps between 6-8 people.
The fully-equipped kitchen/dining room has everything you may need for rustling up some delicious meals. Appliances include a large fridge, separate freezer, electric oven, 5-burner gas hob, dishwasher, microwave and Stellar cookware. Enjoy dinner around the antique dining table which seats up to 8 people and boasts views across the Spey valley.
Unwind in the sitting room which features a high vaulted ceiling, toasty wood burner, comfy sofas upholstered in tweed, antique furniture, an extensive collection of books and magnificent trompe l’oeil wall murals. This is the perfect place to relax after a day roaming the countryside.
Three bedrooms are available. Bedroom 1 is on the ground floor and has twin beds which can be made as a super king. The room offers amazing views towards the Cromdale Hills and there is an adjoining luxury bathroom. A separate downstairs cloakroom/WC is also available. On the second floor is a twin/super-king room which and en suite shower room. A Velux roof light offers plenty of light. Bedrooms 3 has a 5ft sumptuous bed and a 3ft fold-out bed can be added. The en suite shower room includes a power shower.
Outside there is a south-facing patio with garden furniture for al fresco dining whilst admiring the spectacular views. Only a short stroll across the fields is the River Spey and you can also explore the 800 acres of forest adjacent to the lodge.
This part of the country has an abundance of natural scenery to enjoy, with lots of walks right on the doorstep. The world-famous Speyside Way offers a trail of around 65 miles, whilst the 49 Munros is great for hill walking. The River Spey is ideal for fishing and home to some of Scotland’s best salmon and sea trout fisheries. Lots of golf courses are in the area, including ones at Ballindalloch (a few minutes’ drive away) Grantown-on-Spey, Nethy Bridge, Dufftown and the championship courses of Nairn and Royal Dornoch.
