Werngochlyn Farmhouse dates back to the 12th Century. It is situated in a fabulous position, nestling in the middle of rolling farmland, and with the Skirrid Mountain as a backdrop – and yet it is only 3 miles from the busy market town of Abergavenny renowned for its September Food Festival.
There are 4 self-catering holiday cottages set around the farmyard. All are tastefully converted and yet retain the charm and character of the original buildings, with stone walls and revealed beams. The spacious properties enjoy a cosy feel and are perfect for a winter break or summer evening.
There is a heated indoor swimming pool, hot tub and games room, with a slide and swings for smaller children and there is plenty of room to sit out or have a barbecue. A stream runs through the farmyard and there are friendly farm animals to get to know, a paradise for children and adults alike.
Werngochlyn Farm is set in an area renowned for its spectacular beauty and is steeped in history with castles galore. Abergavenny is surrounded by the 3 prominent mountains – the Sugar Loaf, Blorenge and Skirrid. There is simply masses to do and see with the Black Mountains, Brecon Beacons, Forest of Dean, Wye Valley and Welsh Valleys on our doorstep. There are footpaths running from the Farm and an 18 hole Golf Course and Driving Range only ½ mile away…...and yet enough activities at the Farm to prevent the need to wander far.
