Ferryman's Cottage is a Victorian house that now offers self catering holiday accommodation in Fowey, Cornwall. It has lovely views of the Bodinnick Ferry and Daphne du Maurier's Ferryside and is an ideal retreat for anyone who is looking to stay in the area.

Inside The Cottage

On the lower ground floor you enter the Cornish slate built cellars of the former "Sailors Return" an eighteenth century pub but now delightfully converted. The dining room, with beamed ceiling, leads onto the terrace where guests can use the gas BBQ and enjoy views of the river. The kitchen is also on this floor and this is superbly equipped with a range of fitted units, gas cooker, washing and drying machine and dishwasher, fridge, freezer and microwave.

The living room has an open, decorative fireplace, smart TV with Sky and patio doors onto the balcony. On the same level is a study with a smart TV.

On the first floor are two double bedrooms, one of which has a bay window with lovely views and a bathroom/WC with a shower over the bath. The second floor has two further bedrooms, one with river views and double bed; the other a single bed and full sized bunk beds.

The holiday cottage has been tastefully refurbished and modernised and offers quality family accommodation with wonderful views. The cottage also has two beautiful decking areas to relax on.

Local Area

There are a wide range of activities in the area many of which are water based including boat trips, kayaking, water sports and fishing.

The area offers fantastic walking and cycling and of course some beautiful beaches. You are also close to several golf courses, or you may just choose to browse around some of the individual shops and galleries in the area or sample some delicious local fayre in one of the many cafes and restaurants.

Rates: From £550 to £1400 per week depending on season.
