Chestnut Mews is set in a beautiful secluded location on the edge of Shanklin Old Village on the Isle of Wight, and offers family friendly, self- catering holiday cottages for up to six guests, only a ten minute walk from the beach. Honeysuckle, Clematis and Jasmine Cottages, are within an easy five minute walk to amenities and are steps away from footpaths and countryside. Perfect for families, with a large garden and children’s play area.
A short walk will take you to Shanklin’s sandy beaches, with its gift shops, ice cream parlors and amusements. The beaches at Shanklin hold an ‘Excellent’ Award for their water quality, ideal for, swimming, water sports, sandcastles or just lazing around in the sun.
Less than a five minute walk from the Cottages will bring you to the heart of Shanklin’s Old Village with its variety of picturesque thatched cottages, tea rooms, gift shops, bars and restaurants.
On the ground floor the cottages are open plan, with a spacious kitchen, dining area and lounge, there is also a downstairs toilet. French doors open out from the lounge onto an enclosed decked patio area with outside furniture. Honeysuckle and Jasmine Cottages share a large mature garden with children’s play area and two wooden play houses. Clematis Cottage has its own private garden with children’s ‘little tikes’ play equipment and wooden play house.
Upstairs the cottages have three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a King sized bed, with an en-suite walk in shower, French Doors open from the bedroom onto a balcony with views over the garden. There is a twin bedded room, and the third which can be made up as a twin or a single bed and a travel cot. There is also a family bathroom with full size bath and shower above.
All cottages have the same lay out and are furnished similarly. Our Cottages are family friendly, no hidden costs, and are fitted with Kiddy Guard stair gates (top and bottom of stairs). All have highchairs, bed guards and travel cots if needed.
Chestnut Mews is accessible via a private gated road, with off road parking in front of each cottage.
