Eastern Lee is a self catering holiday home that is surrounded by fields, located on the outskirts of Wellow, near Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight. Our holiday cottage is a peaceful and quiet retreat that has been furnished to a high standard and is in a great location for exploring the island.
About Eastern Lee
Downstairs in this holiday cottage is an open plan living/dining area that can seat up to 9 people. In the living area are sofas and easy chairs, a Freeview TV, DVD player and radio/CD player. The kitchen is very well equipped and has doors that open out onto the secluded garden where there is a new sun lounge area.A double bedroom and a twin bedroom can be found on the ground floor and are ideal for people with limited mobility. The double bedroom also has French doors that open out onto the patio area and the twin room has space to accommodate an extra bed. The master bedroom is upstairs and can be made into a large double or 2 twin beds. This bedroom has an en suite bathroom which features a free standing double ended bath with shower over. Another twin bedroom is upstairs which has space for a small guest bed for occasional use; there is also an en suite shower room. For smaller parties, the upstairs rooms may be shut off and downstairs only (2 bedrooms, family bathroom) rented at a lower price outside the main holiday times.
Beds are made up ready for your arrival with duvets provided as standard. Alternatively, blankets are available on request. Bed linen and towels, heating and electricity are included in the price.
At the front of the house there is a verandah with views over the village. The south facing back garden is peaceful and private. A barbecue in the garden is provided for warm evenings. For the energetic the village green is 50 metres away which offers a fitness track and play area.
Local Area
The Isle of Wight is ideal for those who love the natural world, peace and quiet. The area is a haven for those who enjoy walking, birdwatching and visiting gardens and historic places. Over half the Isle of Wight is recognised as being an 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty', with almost 30 miles of shore designated as 'Heritage Coast' - an accolade given only to coastlines of the greatest beauty and interest in England and Wales.The Island is served by frequent car ferries, hovercraft and high speed jet foils and catamarans. There are rail and coach links to Lymington, West and East Cowes, Fishbourne and Ryde.
