Manor Farm Cottage is a tranquil 150-year-old detached island-stone self catering holiday cottage on the outskirts Wroxall. Based on the southern tip of the Isle of Wight, we are the perfect place to escape from the pressures of modern life.

Accommodation

This charming cottage includes many original features such as stone walls and flags, whilst offering contemporary living and classic cottage design. The decor is a modern take on cottage classics. The cottage sleeps up to 6 comfortably and the ideal holiday bolt hole for those in search of style, elegance and luxurious comfort.

Ground Floor: The front door opens into a small farm style porch, the perfect place to leave muddy wellies or sandy buckets. The front room looks out onto the surrounding countryside, has a log burner, large comfy sofas seating up to 6 persons and a flat-screen smart TV with Freeview plus a Bose iPod docking system for leisurely listening.

The dining room comes with a large oak table seating 6-8 people comfortably.

Off the kitchen there is a day/playroom with a large sofa, flat-screen smart TV, DVD player and a wealth of children books, toys and games not to mention books and DVD’s suitable for adults. French doors open out into the secure, peaceful back garden which also has a child’s play area with swings, a slide and a trampoline. A utility room comes with washing machine, dryer, separate WC and back door which takes you out to the gravel drive and side garden.

Upstairs: Traditional farm cottage stairs with a toughened glass side screen leads up to 3 bedrooms (2 kingsized and a Bunk Bed), a modern family bathroom and a separate shower room.

The Green Fern bedroom is bright and airy with views of the surrounding countryside. The king-sized bed with memory foam topper has sumptuous crisp cotton bedding and decorative scatter cushions. The Cow Parsley blue bedroom has a king-sized bed, memory foam topped mattress and fresh white cotton bedding, and has a full size cot in the corner. With views out across the country fields, it is far removed from the hustle and bustle of the mainland.

The Red,White and Blue bedroom looks out over the back garden and is fully appointed for children with full size( 3’ wide) bunkbeds, chest of drawers with built in change table, star lights, reading chair and enough room for a further travel cot. The bathroom has a slipper bath and hand shower attachment, WC and Hand Basin and the shower room has a large shower, WC and Hand Basin.

Outside: The main garden is the perfect place to take it easy. Enjoy the BBQ or sit back and relax on the patio while watching the children playing on the swings, slide and 8ft trampoline in the separate play area/enclosure. There is a log store, a garden shed with children's outside toys, bikes, scooters etc, washing line and a small secluded garden area to sit in in the early morning sun with a cup of coffee.

Visiting Wroxall & Exploring the Isle of Wight

The cottage is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with some of the most magnificent landscapes in the South of England on its doorstep. There are few better places for peace and quiet, and for getting away from it all. There is an abundance of wildlife to enjoy as you stroll on the downs or through the sheltered valleys and ancient woodland. Yet, it is only a short drive away from the popular beaches, shops, restaurants, pubs, golf courses and sailing arenas.

For adventure Blackgang Chine Adventure Park is just 15 minutes’ drive from the cottage. The fun-packed park is designed to appeal to the child in all of us! A little further afield is Robin Hill Countryside Adventure Park. Several beautiful coves (Steephill Cove, Castle Haven) and beaches (Ventnor, Shanklin, Compton) are just a short distance from the cottage.
