Half of 14 is a traditional Skye stone cottage that has been completely refurbished while still retaining its original cosy feel. We are sited in the scenic crofting community of Torrin in south Skye on a quiet lane leading to a peaceful sandy beach. Torrin enjoys spectacular views of the sea, the Red Cuillins and the iconic Blaven range.
The stone cottage has a cosy sitting room with a wood burning stove set in an exposed stone wall with two comfy sofas, compact flat screen TV with DVD player. Enjoy some home-cooking in the well-equipped kitchen which has an oak worktop, ceramic hob, electric oven, washing machine, and fridge freezer. Relax with a delicious meal around the kitchen table next to a toasty wood burner.
There is a downstairs shower room with basin and wc. Upstairs are two attractive double bedrooms and a small child’s bedroom. Available on request are cot, baby bath, stair gate and highchair.
Visiting Torrin & Exploring the Isle of SkyeTorrin itself is the perfect base for wonderful coastal and mountain walks. From nearby Elgol are the amazing boat trips to the heart of the Cuillin range. Otters, seals, golden and sea eagles are regularly seen on close-by Loch Slapin. Torrin is five miles from the village of Broadford which has a range of facilities, cafes, COOP supermarket, petrol station, vet, chemist, and post office.
