The Hirsel on Skye offers self-catering accommodation in the tranquil village of Ord, situated on the shores of Loch Eishort in south Skye. The cottage has stunning views across the loch to the Cuillins and Blà Bheinn and is only a gentle two-minute stroll to Ord bay with its sandy beach.

Accommodation

We are located in one of the most picturesque villages in all of Skye, offering a true haven for nature lovers looking for somewhere special to stay. The property is based in an elevated position and just 200 metres from the loch shore, offering magical views over Loch Eishort and the Cuillin hills. You can even watch seals, birds and local wildlife from the comfort of your own armchair.

The property comes with a relaxing open plan lounge/kitchen/diner which offers amazing views over the loch. The living area comes with comfy seating, a 43” smart tv with Freesat channels, a DVD player and a Google Nest speaker. A well-equipped kitchen includes a range of appliances to suit all your needs: fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave.

Bedrooms consist of a double ensuite and a family room with a king and single bed. Both rooms share a shower room. All bed linen and towels provided.

Outside there is an enclosed garden with a patio and furniture, great for al fresco dining.

Visiting Ord & Exploring the Isle of Skye

A short stroll will take you to the sandy beach, one of the few on Skye. The beach is perfect for children and is great for launching kayaks and small boats. Skye is perfect for walking, climbing, fishing and water sports, with something for everyone to enjoy. Head to Armadale to visit Armadale Castle and its beautiful gardens or visit some of Sleat’s wonderful restaurants and hotels for food and drink. Attractions to visit in Skye and Lochalsh include:
