Grove Wood Cottages in Upton Bishop offers fantastic self catering accommodation, only a short stroll from Ross-on-Wye. Our properties in Herefordshire are nestled in gorgeous countryside, the perfect place to escape from the pressures of modern life.
We have 2 properties to choose from, Perrycliff and The Stables. Both enjoy glorious views and come well-equipped with a range of quality facilities. Easy local hot tub hire is available. A welcome hamper is provided.
Perrycliff Cottage – Sleeps 8 plus 2 infants in cots
Our cottage sleeps up to 8 people plus infants in cots, ideal for families or groups. This character cottage comes with a large, beamed living room with an eco-wood burning stove., smart TV, DVD player, automated skylights and sliding doors that open to the terrace area. You can also relax in the smaller living room that comes with a smart TV, DVD player, books and jigsaws.A well-equipped traditional kitchen comes with a range of appliances: Aga, ceramic hob, oven, dishwasher, microwave, American-style fridge-freezer, wine fridge and Quooker boiling tap. There is a dining area and a room for washing and drying.
In total, we have 4 bedrooms, all with en suite facilities. On the ground floor, there are 2 bedrooms: 1 super king or twin and 1 en suite bedroom with 2 single beds either side of the bathroom. Upstairs there are 2 super kings, 1 of which can be turned into a twin. All the rooms include 200 thread count Egyptian cotton linen, towels and bathrobes. 3 of the bathrooms come with a separate shower and one first-floor bathroom has a shower over bath.
Outside we have a fenced courtyard garden with garden furniture and a BBQ and Onni pizza oven for al fresco dining in the after sun. A front terrace offers views towards Ross-on-Wye and the Forest of Dean.
The Stables – Sleeps 4 – 6
We offer single level accommodation for 4-6 people in this woodland retreat, great for couples, families or friends. Accessible facilities available, please contact beforehand. The dog friendly property is based on the edge of a private woodland and offers views across the meadow land, Upton Bishop Church and the Malvern Hills.Inside we have a spacious kitchen/living room to suit all your needs. Features include an eco -approved wood burning stove, a vaulted ceiling, oak beams and soft furnishings. The fully-equipped kitchen includes a variety of appliances: ceramic hob, oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer, Quooker boiling water tap. A dining area has doors that open to the terraces. There is a room for washing and drying.
We have 2 en suite bedrooms, both with super king beds. One of the rooms can be made as a twin. All the rooms include 200 thread count Egyptian cotton linen, towels and bathrobes.
Outside we have a private outdoor bathroom with a bath and shower, plus a seating area and firepit. BBQ facilities are provided and the enclosed terrace come with a dining area for al fresco dining. There is a table tennis table.
Visiting Upton Bishop & Exploring Herefordshire
Our properties are great for walking and cycling, with lots of countryside to enjoy. There are lots of market towns to visit and nearby are Ledbury and Worcestershire. Walk on the Malvern Hills or visit Symonds Yat, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Attractions to visit include:
