Southern Bell - The Beach House offers outstanding self catering accommodation on Hayling Island in Hampshire. We are in a truly magical location, with private access to the island’s Blue Flag beach.

Accommodation

Our unique holiday home is built around two 19th Century railway carriages and enjoys spectacular sea views. The property sleeps up to 8 people and comes with its own private gate to the beach, ideal for the ultimate coastal getaway.

Our recently renovated property offers luxurious accommodation in 5 bedrooms (2 kings, 1 double and two singles), 3 of which are inside one of the railway carriages. There are two bathrooms, one of which is en suite. A spacious and contemporary open plan kitchen and living area has patio doors which make the most of the breathtaking sea views. A cosy second sitting/TV room is nestled in the original first-class carriage.

The house has excellent facilities, including two Virgin Media cable TVs, Xbox One and iPod dock. The well-equipped kitchen has a gas/electric range, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, Nespresso machine (10 Ristretto capsules provided) and separate 6-bottle wine fridge. A washing machine and tumble dryer are in the utility cupboard.

New in 2021, Southern Bell now has a new Home Office for you to use during your stay. Situated in the front garden and replacing the detached garage, the office is comfortable all year round and has it's own wired Wifi extension plus beach and sea view!

Visiting Hayling Island & Exploring Hampshire

Hayling Island boasts miles of pebble and sandy beaches, ideal for all the family. The island is famous for windsurfing, kitesurfing and sailing activities. Windsurfing, kitesurfing, kayak and SUP lessons are available close by. A links golf course, cycling and picturesque walks can all be enjoyed in the area. Just a short walk from us is a range of local shops, pubs, restaurants and a marina/sailing club. Fantastic attractions to visit in the area include:
