Gorse Cottage offers wonderful self catering accommodation in the charming village of Brockenhurst. We are nestled in a country lane, offering glorious views of the New Forest and fields where horses graze, perfect for a tranquil break in Hampshire.

Accommodation

Our delightful cottage has been beautifully refurbished to offer quality accommodation. Based in a truly peaceful position, we are the ideal place to escape from the pressures of modern life.

You can unwind in the cosy living room after a day roaming the countryside. The room comes with a luxury 7-seater L-shaped sofa and matching pouffe, a 50’’ flat-screen TV with Apple TV and a DVD player. You can also relax in the sun-filled conservatory room which acts as the dining room as well, with seating for 10 people. Specialist glass has been installed to keep it cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

The brand-new designer kitchen has been stylishly designed by Neatsmiths of London. Excellent appliances for home-cooking includes a large range oven with hob units, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, separate wine cooler fridge, De Longhi toaster, electric kettle, iron (iron and ironing board in the cupboard by the living room) and cooking equipment.

Five superb bedrooms are available. The main upstairs en suite bedroom comes with a double bed, Freeview TV/DVD player and a Dormer window which takes advantage of the gorgeous views. Bedroom 2 is opposite and comes with a king-size bed and Freeview TV/DVD player. Bedroom 3 has a double bed and spacious en suite with a luxurious walk-in shower, whilst the garden room includes a double, brand new en suite and patio doors that open onto the garden. Bedroom 5 comes with twin beds.

Outside there is a lovely south-facing garden with a secluded patio with a table and cushioned garden chairs and stools, a lawn, shrubs and an apple tree. This is a fantastic spot for al fresco dining over a few glasses of wine. We also have a large playhouse and a shed for bikes. In the fields behind you can enjoy delightful views of the horses and ponies in the field.

Visiting Brockenhurst & Exploring Hampshire

Brockenhurst is set in the heart of the New Forest and is rich in wildlife. The area offers something for everyone, including horse riding, polo, forest wagon rides, Palace House Beaulieu, the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu and Solent trips and cruises to the Isle of Wight. The village has some brilliant restaurants, including fine dining, pub grub, English, French, Indian and Chinese cuisines, plus fish and chips. Great attractions to visit include:

New Forest Reptile Centre.
