Home Cottage at The House of Bread holiday cottages in Christchurch is perfect for a relaxing getaway. Our cottage is only a few miles Symonds Yat Rock and Symonds Yat East, making us a great position for exploring Gloucestershire.

Accommodation


Our oldest cottage at The House of Bread offers charming accommodation and is bursting will character. The cottage is beautifully furnished and comes with everything you need for a tranquil getaway. A welcome pack of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, milk, biscuits and dishwasher tablets is provided.

Downstairs there is a cosy living room to unwind in which includes a TV with Freeview, a DVD player, CD/player with iPod connectivity and comfy seating. Cook up a storm in the fully equipped kitchen that comes with a range of appliances: microwave, toaster, electric oven, hob grill, dishwasher, fridge and freezer. Savour some delicious meals in the light and airy dining room.

Upstairs there are two attractive bedrooms, a master king room and a second room that can be made as a twin or super king. Both rooms have a wall-mounted TV and share a family bathroom with a shower over bath.

Outside there is private seating with a delightful arch and bench, offering a great spot for a coffee in the morning sun. You are also welcome to use the BBQ in the large courtyard garden at The House of Bread. There is a shared hot tub available for an cost, with pre-booking essential (needs 24 hours to refill & heat up).

We offer further accommodation at The House of Bread in the Old Bakery. In a similar way to Home cottage, the Old Bakery provides flexible accommodation to suit your needs, offering self-contained accommodation with its own entrance and private outside space – please enquire for details.

Visiting Christchurch & Exploring Gloucestershire


In the village there are lovely pubs serving food, local shops, a church and bus services. The area also has lots of great activities, including canoeing, rope courses, wine tasting, bird watching and biking. Within easy reach are Coleford, Chepstow, Monmouth and Ross-on-Wye, offering lots of shops and restaurants to enjoy. In Monmouth, you can catch a show at The Savoy Theatre And Cinema, whilst two cinemas are also available in Coleford and Cinderford. Great attractions to visit include:

Goodridge Castle.
Gloucester Quays.
