The Old Post House

Summary

Nestling in the rural setting of Kilconquhar is The Old Post House, a cosy comfortable retreat for six. It lies a few hundered yards from Kilconquhar Castle Estate, a gold crown resort; and half a mile from the popular holiday resort of Elie.

The house is open plan, has two bedrooms and a double sofabed and can therefore accommodate six.

It has full central heating, fitted carpets, and tiled floors in both the kitchen and conservatory. It was completely renovated in 2000 but still retaines many of its original features. The family have owned the property for twenty five years and hope that you the visitor will enjoy it as much as they did.

The house comprises : Entrance hall. Cloakroom with whb and wc.
Open plan sitting room with coal effect gas fire. Conservatory. Dining area. Well equipped kitchen with washing machine, dish washer, fridge / freezer, electric cooker and microwave.

Attractive staircase leads to : Spacious double bedroom with mahogany furniture and tv. Prettily decorated twin with wash hand basin. New fitted bathroom with mains shower over bath.

Outside : The garden is attractive, safe and secluded for children with a swing and shoot. There is also a play park just to the rear of the property accessible through rear gate. Garden furniture and a barbecue are provided for those sunnier days.

General details : All linen and towels are included in the rental with a full change every week. Pets are welcome and there is a small charge of 10 pounds per week per animal. A cot and high chair are available on request at no extea charge. Change over days are normally Saturdays unless otherwise arranged with the owner and arrivals are from 3pm onwards and departures by 10am.

The area : The university town of St. Andrews famed as The Home of Golf is just 11 miles and the attractive coastal villages are all within easy reach. If golf is your game there are from over forty courses to choose from. The East Neuk has some pretty coastal walks, good sports facilities and clean and safe beaches. There are many special events throughout the summer and you can find a list of these in the local Tourist Office.

Rates : From £300 to £500 per week
Maximum of 6 people + cot. Smoking is permitted (but not in the bedrooms please). Pets allowed.
