Private two storey cottage adjoining a traditional Scottish house built circa 1835 on the beautiful banks of Loch Long in the village of Arrochar, with unrestricted views of Ben Arthur ("The Cobbler") over looking the Arrochar Alps making it a cosy retreat amongst the mountains.
Just 45 minutes drive from Glasgow in the heart of Scotland's First National Park, is an area of mountains and Lochs, the most well known being Loch Lomond. Two miles from Loch Lomond nestled in the mountains that surround it is the village of Arrochar with views over the hills that have become known as The Arrochar Alps.
The cottage with its private entrance consists of Lounge/Dining room, Kitchen, one double bedroom, shower room with toilet, basin and full central heating. The living area which has excellent views over the Loch and the Cobbler has use of a T.V, DVD, electric coal effect fire. The double bedroom consists of an excellent range of furniture. We provide all Linens/towels. There is private parking and full use of the garden.
There are various shops within the village including a Fruit & Veg store and a Post Office. There are also resturants and a coffee shop.
Argyll View Cottage is an ideal base for hill walkers as we are within easy reach of Ben Ime 1101m, Vorlich 943m, Narnain 926m, Vane 915m, Arthur 884m, and A'Chrois 848m and many low level walks.
Arrochar has lots to offer, such as walking, fishing and climbing. Nearby Loch Lomond has various water sports and golf available or you can relax and take a cruise. Helensburgh is a short drive away (18 miles) or visit Oban (60 miles), Inverary (20 miles), or Dunoon, you can even take a train from Arrochar & Tarbet Station and enjoy the beautiful scenery to Fort William and Mallaig.
Rates : £420 to £560 per week depending on season.
Short breaks of 3 & 4 nights also available.
