Accommodation

Accommodating up to nine guests, the house provides versatile sleeping arrangements: two bedrooms with double beds, one with two single beds, one with a small double bed (4ft) and a single bed, and a compact single bedroom (8ft by 7ft). The spacious living room features an inglenook with a wood-burning stove, creating a warm and inviting space to relax. The house also includes two bath/shower rooms, each equipped with a toilet, as well as a generously sized kitchen and dining area. Modern conveniences such as a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi and a separate garden add to its appeal.

The property is heated with electric radiators in the main rooms and electric convector fires in the bedrooms, as there is no gas supply in Bishops Castle. For added comfort, electric blankets are provided on all beds. In the living room, a powerful wood-burning stove offers additional heating, with a free supply of wood available for your use. A 300-litre hot water tank ensures ample hot water for baths and showers and there is also an electric shower for convenience.

Please note that the stairs to the first floor are fairly steep, which may make the house unsuitable for individuals with mobility challenges. However, for those who appreciate its character and charm, this well-equipped and welcoming home provides the perfect retreat for exploring the natural beauty of the area.

Visiting Bishops Castle & Exploring Shropshire

Bailey End is surrounded by many areas for walking such as the Long Mynd, Offa's Dyke, Stiperstones and the Corndon hills. The town has all the amenities you would need as well as many places to eat. The towns of Ludlow and Shrewsbury are close by and have castles and other attractions. If you want to go further afield, Lake Bala (50 miles to the north west) is the largest natural lake in Wales, with fishing, horse riding and water sports, including windsurfing, sailing and canoeing.
