Balure Cottage is a cosy one-bedroom Highland Bothy-style retreat, surrounded by stunning scenery, ideal for a Highland getaway. This charming south-facing cottage offers breathtaking sunsets. Step out the front door to walk down to the mouth of the River Awe and Loch Etive and experience a wonderful sense of space and freedom. Nature lovers will be delighted by the abundance of wildlife and birds. Balure is truly a special hidden gem.

Accommodation

Entrance is from a storm porch into the main hallway, which leads to the spacious, open-plan sitting room with a dining table and through to the kitchen area. The kitchen is kept cosy and warm by a traditional log-burning stove, with an initial basket of chopped wood provided. The kitchen is well-equipped with crockery, cutlery, glasses and cooking equipment, including an electric cooker, microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster and blender. An adjoining outhouse provides additional amenities such as a washing machine, dryer and freezer. This delightful, bright and airy twin-bedded room has two windows providing stunning views across the open countryside. The room includes two single beds, duvets and extra blankets. Please note that bed linen, towels and tea towels are not provided, but bed linen can be supplied for £6.50 per bed. The well-appointed shower room features a shower, toilet, wash hand basin and electric towel rail. Outside, there is an enclosed garden with a picnic bench, perfect for enjoying the outdoors.

Visiting Taynuilt & Exploring Argyll

Inverawe offers a delightful place to get away from it all. Completely unspoilt, with an abundance of both flora and birds you can just walk through woodlands and parkland. Enjoy walking down on the edge of the river, or walk down to Loch Etive and enjoy all the seabirds. With Inverawe Fisheries right on the doorstep, you have access to an excellent fly-fishing centre where you can fish at your convenience, enjoying special 'cottage fishing' discount rates. For those who prefer to savour Inverawe's smoked products, a great selection of smoked fish is available in the shop. There is plenty to see and do, including:
