The holiday cottage was converted from an old stone farm building. The back door opens onto the old farm yard with ample car parking space. French doors open onto a private south facing garden with patio, BBQ and garden furniture and a wooded area with cut paths ideal for children and dogs to walk and play in.
A wood burning stove TV, DVD and CD player, Wi-Fi connection also games and books for a relaxing evening. Your own private garden with lawn, patio, BBQ and garden furniture overlooking the countryside with distant views of Slieve Croob Mountain. We boast small woods for children and dogs to play in. Good parking. Outside lock up shed for bicycles etc.

There are short walks available from the farm which are suitable for dogs & children, plus the location is quiet so you can keep yourself to yourself if needed. Local amenities are only 3 miles away. Killyleagh is a pretty village on the western side of Strangford Lough. It is home to the beautiful Killyleagh Castle, which is the oldest inhabited castle in Ireland.
The local area offers golf, riding, fishing and water sports, plus quiet roads for walking. You will also find National Trust Properties, forest parks and sandy beaches all within a 30 minute drive. Rowallane Gardens is an outstanding National Trust property with acres of quiet beauty and gentle walks. In spring it has a magnificent display of rhododendrons and azaleas. There are many species of plants and trees from around the world introduced in the early 20th century. The rock garden and the walled garden are well worth a visit. Only a 20 minute drive away is the St Patrick’s Centre which offers an interactive experience which tells of St Patrick’s life and achievements with the aid of the latest technology. Nearby is the Down Museum also worth a visit.
