Chapel Cottage is a charming stone-fronted holiday home built in 1877 and tucked away in a peaceful courtyard, just moments from Kirkby Lonsdale’s main street and its excellent cafés, restaurants and independent shops. Recently renovated to a high standard, it retains rustic character with oak beams, stone floors, an open fireplace and cosy corners, all complemented by modern comforts including central heating.
The spacious lounge and dining area is warm and inviting, featuring original beams, an open cast iron fireplace, smart TV, window seats and a large L-shaped sofa. Thoughtful décor and subtle lighting add to the relaxed feel. A solid oak dining table provides plenty of room for meals or board games. The kitchen combines cottage charm with practical design, offering granite worktops, a gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and a washing machine.
On the first level there is a bright bathroom with a large bath and a separate shower room to avoid queues. The twin bedroom is cosy and traditional, with a window seat and soft colours. The double bedroom offers a crisp and elegant style with a Victorian bed, plush bedding, a smart television and a comfortable armchair positioned by the window. On the upper level, the master bedroom features a king-size bed, atmospheric lighting, a walk-in wardrobe, an en-suite shower room and an arched window that fills the room with light.
At the front of the cottage, a pretty south-facing walled garden provides a private spot to relax. With seating, bird feeders and quiet corners, it is perfect for a morning coffee, an afternoon book or an evening glass of wine in the sunshine.
