Eastern Slade Barn Bunkhouse
Oxwich, Gower, Swansea
Summary
Eastern Slade Barn-Bunkhouse is the original farmhouse at Eastern Slade farm, with a history dating back over 200 years. In 1905, a new farmhouse was built for the grandparents of the current owners and the barn was repurposed for agricultural use, housing cattle and machinery.
Eastern Slade Farm, a working farm, transitioned from dairy farming to rearing calves from dairy cows in 2016. Three generations of the Beynon family now work together on the farm. The barn has been thoughtfully converted into comfortable accommodation designed for outdoor enthusiasts.
The bunkhouse can sleep up to 13 guests across 4 bedrooms, one of which is accessible for disabled guests. Additional accommodation for 2 more guests is available on fold-up beds in one of the rooms if needed. There are three shower rooms with toilets, including one fully equipped for disabled use, all located on the lower floor. A well-equipped kitchen with a dual fuel range and a spacious lounge area with a state-of-the-art log burner ensure a cosy stay.
Outside, guests can enjoy an open space with large gas BBQs, ample tables and seating. Secure storage is provided for bikes, canoes and surfboards. A member of the Beynon family is always available on-site to assist with any issues or questions guests may have.
