Holiday Cottages Melrose offers outstanding self catering accommodation only 3 miles from the picturesque town of Melrose. We boast stunning views over the Eildon Hills and countryside, perfect for an idyllic break in the Scottish Borders.

Accommodation

We have 4 individual properties that are part of a new barn conversion and a new eco cottage to choose from. All 5 cottages have been tastefully renovated to create modern accommodation.

The Byre Holiday Cottage

Our cottage is a part of the new barn conversion and offers countryside views. Apart from a step from the sitting room to the bedrooms, the cottage is on one floor. Inside there is an open sitting room/dining room and kitchen. The sitting room has Michael Vee Interiors, a TV with Freeview and a DVD player. The well-equipped kitchen comes with a range of appliances; electric cooker, ceramic hob, large fridge/freezer, integrated dishwasher and microwave. There is a dining area and utility room/boot room.

In total, there are 2 bedrooms. Bedroom 1 has a zip and link bed that can be made as a super-king or twin. En suite facilities include a large walk-in shower. Bedroom 2 also has zip and link beds and can be made as a super-king or twin. The family bathroom has a separate shower unit and a large bath. Outside there is a is a fully enclosed lawned garden and a terraced area with garden furniture for al fresco dining.

The Granary Holiday Cottage

Our cottage is over 2 levels and include classic furnishings and modern features. The cottage sleeps up to 8 and includes an open plan living/dining/kitchen area. The sitting area includes furnishings by Michael Vee Interiors and a wood burner. The well-equipped kitchen has an electric cooker, ceramic hob, large fridge/freezer, microwave and integrated dishwasher. The are is a dining area and utility room/boot room.

On the ground floor bedroom 4 has zip and links bed that can be made as a super king or twin. En suite facilities include a bathroom with a large walk-in shower. On the upper floor is a master bedroom with zip and link beds that can be made as a super-king or twin. En suite facilities include a bath and separate shower. Two further bedrooms have zip and link beds that can be made as super-kings or twins, both with en suite facilities. Outside there is an enclosed lawned garden and a terraced patio with garden furniture.

The Sheepfold

Out eco-cottage comes with a Sedum roof, renewable air-source heating system and offers countryside views. Inside there is an open plan living/dining/kitchen. The living room has Michael Vee Interiors and sliding doors that open to the terrace. The fully-equipped kitchen has an electric cooker, hob, built-in fridge freezer, microwave, integrated dishwasher and washing machine. A dining table seats 4.

The large bedroom has zip and link beds that can be made as a twin or super king. The bathroom has a walk-in shower and a separate bath. Outside we have a lawned garden and terraced patio with garden furniture for al fresco dining.

The Smiddy Cottage

This barn conversion sleeps up to 4 people and enjoys countryside views. Inside there is an open plan living/dining/kitchen area. The living room has Michael Vee Interiors and bi-folding doors that open to the terrace and garden. The fully-equipped kitchen comes with an electric cooker, hob, large retro fridge with ice box, microwave, integrated dishwasher and washing machine. A dining area seats 4 and the cloakroom has a WC.

On the first floor there are 2 bedrooms. Bedroom 1 has zip and link beds that can be made as super-king double or twin. En suite facilities include a bath and shower over. Bedroom 2 has a king-size bed and en suite shower. Outside there is an enclosed lawned garden and a terraced patio with garden furniture.

The Stables Cottage

Our cottage is part of a new barn conversion and sleeps up to 4 people. The cottage offers countryside views and side there is an open plan sitting room/dining kitchen. The sitting room has Michale Vee interiors and the well-equipped kitchen includes a range of appliances: an electric cooker, ceramic hob, large fridge/freezer, integrated dishwasher and microwave. A dining area seats 4 and there is a utility room.

Bedroom 1 has a super king bed and bedroom 2 has zip and link beds that can be made as super-king or twin, plus en suite facilities. A family bathroom has a separate shower unit and a large bath. Suction-mounted handles for use in baths and showers are available on request. Outside there is a small lawned garden and raised decked patio with garden furniture.

Visting Melrose & Exploring the Scottish Borders

We are ideally placed for exploring the area. Melrose has lots of restaurants and shops to enjoy. You can walk along the River Tweed or visit Melrose Abbey. Scott’s View offers wonderful views, or you can explore the nearby Border towns. Attractions to visit include:
