Stable House offers self catering accommodation at Barwhillanty Estate. We are nestled in a beautiful part of Parton near the town of Castle Douglas, perfect for an unforgettable break in Dumfries & Galloway.
Our cottage sleeps up to 8, ideal for a family or group looking for somewhere special to stay.
Our property comes with a cosy living room with a large open fire, comfy seating and a Freesat smart TV and Sonos system. This is a lovely space to unwind in with a coffee after a day roaming the countryside. Cook up a storm in the well-equipped kitchen which has a 3-door oil Aga, microwave, dishwasher, freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer.
Four bedrooms are available. The bedroom bedrooms can be made as a twin or double, apart from one that is a twin. One of the four bedrooms is downstairs and comes with en suite facilities. The upstairs bedrooms share a bathroom and separate shower room. All bed linen and towels are included.
The property does not have its own garden but there is a walled garden where we can arrange a pizza oven to be fired up.
The Barwhillanty Estate is set in the spectacular Galloway Hills and home to 5,000 acres of landscaped grounds, a true haven for outdoor lovers. The area has lots of fabulous trails, routes, walks and wildlife to see. Activities in the area include golfing, horse riding, sailing, cycling and much more. The beach is just 10 miles away and Castle Douglas is only 7 miles away. Attractions to visit include:
